Once thawed, do not refreeze and consume within 24 hours of thawing.
Defrosting instructions:
For best results, place the desired amount of scallops on a thick layer of paper towels and let them thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
For quicker thawing, immerse the sealed bag in cold water for 30 minutes. Remove the scallops from the bag. Drain. Do not rinse. Pat dry gently. Once thawed, use as fresh.
It is not necessary to remove frozen scallops from the half-shell, especially if you intend to bake or gratinate them, as the shell serves as a natural container. If you prefer to cook them in a pan, it is advisable to defrost them, rinse them and remove them from the shell for direct cooking.
