A liqueur made from aromatic herbs, traditional from the city of Benevento in Campania.
Sweet and velvety taste with a fairly dense consistency. Very aromatic, transparent, with a hint of mint and spices such as cinnamon and saffron. The latter gives it its particularly intense color.
Digestive, it is drunk mainly after meals, cold or hot.
Otherwise, it accompanies biscuits, is used as an ingredient in sweets or is added to ice cream and fruit salads. It is also an ingredient in cocktails. Alcohol content 40% vol
