Dried mushrooms develop their most intense flavor when soaked for about 30 minutes in water and milk. Drying allows mushrooms to retain their characteristic nutritional properties, making them a high-quality natural product.
Preparation: Rinse the mushrooms in water and soak them in a mixture of water and milk for 30 minutes. Once softened, drain the water and cook them as desired.
For best mushroom yield, we recommend saving the soaking water, filtered through cheesecloth or a sieve, and adding it during cooking.
Before drying, porcini mushrooms are thoroughly cleaned; however, they may contain traces of soil or other impurities, which the user should remove.
For proper storage, store in a cool, dry place. Once the bag is opened, store the mushrooms in an airtight container. For long-term storage, store the product in the freezer, in its original packaging, or in a freezer bag.
Ingredients: Porcini mushrooms (Boletus edulis and related group).
