This is the quintessential meditation wine due to its perfect balance of acidity, dry extract, alcohol, bouquet, and color. An exceptional Primitivo wine from Puglia, an opulent and powerful wine, with an intense red color that evolves toward amber hues with aging.
The wine is made from 100% Primitivo grapes, harvested by hand. The grapes are destemmed before undergoing pre-fermentation maceration at 12-14°C, followed by fermentation, with maceration lasting 15-20 days at a controlled temperature (25-27°C). After pressing, the wine is aged for 12 months.
With an intense purple-red color, the nose reveals aromas of ripe red and black fruit, blackberry, and cherry, with spicy notes finishing. The palate is warm and structured, with soft tannins well balanced with acidity.
Primitivo di Manduria Riserva Doppio Passo pairs excellently with Game, Roasts, Grilled Red Meats, and Aged Cheeses.
Serve at 18-20°C, Alcohol content 14.5% vol.
