Brandy Cognac Metaxa 12 Stars, a unique Greek drink with a long history. Perhaps its producer, Spyros Metaxas, could not have predicted in the distant 1880s that this brand would become one of the symbols of Greece!
For its production, 3 types of grapes are used, dried in the sun. Their distillate matures for at least 12 years in oak barrels originating from the Limousin region of France. The stars on the bottle label correspond to the years of maturation. After the maturation period, the distillate is mixed with Moscato wines and a secret mix of Greek herbs. Finally, it is left to mature for 6 additional months.
This entire process makes Brandy Cognac Metaxa 12 Stars, distinct from standard brandy production processes.
Full yet delicate flavor, honey color, rich characteristic aroma with notes of vanilla and oak wood, for an overall effect that captivates the senses.
